Further Physical Description: Keyn is a slimly built, though sturdy, woman. She is capable of holding her own against much bigger opponents, due in no small part to her quick reflexes and keen eyesight.
Personality and Traits
Overall Personality: She is a vital young woman. Constantly smiling, she sees the silver lining to every cloud. Nevertheless, Keyn can quickly become thoughtful, even stoic, when the situation calls for it. She’s never broken a promise or shared a secret, her friends and family trust her completely as a result.
Ambitions: Keyn is constantly searching for “the ship;” the one she feels the Prophets made her for. Usually, this means bigger, badder ships and more dangerous missions. In her mind, anything less would be a waste of her piloting skills.
Strengths and Weaknesses: Her jovial personality can sometimes get her into trouble, as she often says what she’s thinking without considering the consequences. Keyn’s a good friend though; she’s always completely honest with her crewmates, even(especially) when they don’t want to hear it.
Hobbies/Interests: Keyn loves her holodecks, often retreating there just to read or sit by a quiet pond. She enjoys reading Bajoran literature and cammentaries on various prophecies. While in the Academy, she picked up an affection for horseback riding, so she occasionally runs equestrian programs on the holodeck. When she’s not in the holodeck or on-duty, Keyn loves playing springball or chess with her crewmates.

Family Members: Vedek Shalor Pali(father, deceased), Shalor Bera(mother, deceased), Shalor Arton(older brother)
Background: Keyn was raised in a deeply religious family during the Bajoran Occupation. Her father served aboard Terok Nor as a spiritual guide to the workers there. When Cardassian soldiers “had a bit of fun” just prior to their abandoning the station, Keyn’s mother and father died attempting to defend the Bajoran shrine from desecration. She was 11 years old. Keyn and her brother Arton immediately departed the station following their parents’ murder. For the next few years, the two children floated from orphanage to orphanage. When she was 14, Keyn was taken into a monastery, where she eagerly devoted herself to becoming a Vedek. However, by the time she was 19, she realized she didn’t have the temperament for the job, and began pursuing other options, though she still maintained a fervent faith. In 2378, at 20, Keyn applied and was accepted to Starfleet Academy. She graduated four years later, a pilot who’s grades and aptitude tests suggested that she was among the top %5 of pilots to ever graduate the academy.
